For my Birthday this year I asked for a sewing machine because I really wanted to learn how sew. Well I happen to live across the street from a sewing expert who has been giving me and my friend Becky sewing lessons. Unlike Becky I am pretty slow and a little retarded at sewing and have yet to understand it. I still have problems changing the thread and sewing straight lines. But I think I'm getting better. Anyway, I decided to start with making the girls little blankets and it so happens that I picked really hard fabric to start on, so it was really hard. Well at least for me. But the girls like them and can't tell that they aren't perfect. Next I made the girls these skirts which were easier but still a challenge for me. I'm in the process of making them dresses but for now this is what I've done.

This is for you Suzanne!!

Good job, Nicole! You actually made some real clothes! You will save so much money if you can get good at making their clothes. At least for now...please don't send them to highschool in prairie dresses.
You are so cute! My mom used to make all sorts of things on the sewing machine, halloween costumes, dresses... I don't think that skill was passed down to me though! You'll have to teach me a few things now that you are becoming an expert!
Oh my gosh, those are great!! I wish I knew how to sew!
Good job!! When you want to make some cute boy stuff give me a call and I'll put in my order. :)
You ROCK! Go Nicole! I think once you get "good" you should start making things (blankets, burp cloths, nursing drapes, etc,) and sell them on ebay! Make some money! I'll be putting in my order as soon as you let me know when you're ready!!
Love you!
