So yesterday was supposed to be a fun day because we were getting ready to go to the mall and get Livvy's 1 year old pictures taken and get some cute sister pictures to. We started getting ready at 3:00 for the pictures and I had plugged in my curling Iron so I could curl Audrey's hair and when I turned to grab a comb Livvy had pulled the curling iron down on her and it had fallen on her arm. When I heard her scream I looked down and the curling Iron was resting on the inside of her arm. I don't really know what happend next but I ran and got Jared who was working outside and we immediately went to urgent care. They took us right back because they knew it was serious from hearing Livvy scream and they gave her a shot of morphine for the pain. The doctor told us he thought it was a 2nd degree burn but wanted us to go to the Maricopa County Burn Center in Phoenix so they could look at it. We drove there and they said it was a 3rd degree burn in some places. So they wrapped her up and today we are going back to see a burn specialst to further evaulate it. Today she is acting like normal and does not seem to be bothered by her huge burn and gauze wrapping on her arm. This has been the hardest thing for me as a mom to see my baby girl in so much pain. I think I cried more than she did yesterday because I feel so guilty and just writting about it brings tears to my eyes. I know she will be ok because she is such a strong little girl. Please keep Olivia in your prayers so that she will have a fast recovery!
This is for you Suzanne!!

Oh, poor livvy!!! I am so sorry that she got burned! I am feeling your pain right now and tears came to my eyes when I was reading what happened. It's so hard being a mom and seeing your children in pain. I will keep her in my prayers and I hope she heals quickly.
OH NICOLE! I can't imagine how bad this must feel to you. I would be so stressed out about it. You are SUCH a good Mom, it was just a freak accident. 1 year olds get curious! I hope you are doing better, she will be ok, kids are resilient!
TRAUMA! Oh my word. I hope Livvy recovers quickly! We love you Livvy and are thinking about you.
oh, poor thing. and i totally know how you feel about being the worst mom in the world. when brynlee was 7 months old, i dislocated my knee and i was holding her when it happened. i dropped her and she broke her leg!! talk about the guilt i had for weeks even though there was nothing i could have done. it was a total and complete freak accident. dont beat yourself up over it!
How sad! Poor thing!
We love you Livvy and Nicole!! It's a freak accident, they happen to all kids and moms. Don't think for one second it's your fault. We are praying for both of you that things will be okay. We are only a phone call away for ANYTHING!
Love,
Aunt Jacey
PS - I like that both of you have the same look in this picture. Crying, sad, puffy eyes and miserable look. It's sweet and say all at the same time. I totally started crying when I read the caption. It must be a mom thing because Mike thought I was being silly for crying! :-)
Oh I feel so bad!! That is what us moms do best is feel guilty. Don't worry I know Livvy will make a full recovery! She will definitely be in our prayers.
i am so sorry. i am sure you feel like you cried more than she did...poor thing...both of you! get well soon!
